Fact and perspective

The fact is that the weather today ws unusually low (low 60s to mid 70s) and windy and sometimes cloudy compared to the days and weeks prior. The perspective on that from me was that it was so incredible that I wished autumn is coming soon.

Facts are often times very easily infused with perspective and imbued meaning when we don’t realize it. Facts sometimes are actually not facts but interpretations.

Who are we without our own perspectives that create those interpretations? What does low 60s to mid 70s weather with wind and spots of clouds alone mean anything to anyone? It’s because I love this kind of weather that I thought it was glorious. Maybe my next door neighbor thought it was too cold for August and stayed indoors all day to stay warm.

Perspepectives are unique to each person, and that’s precious. It’s a creation of our personalities. It’s also malleable and susceptible to influences. One way we judged a situation, a person, or a thing could no longer apply the next day.

Facts are facts. Just facts. Probably more numbers than words. Probably more nouns and adjectives.

It’s really hard to differentiate fact from perspectives. Sometimes, if a perspective is not reciprocated, we may feel invalidated. It depends on the situation. It depends on the conscious and subconscious reasoning behind the perspectives.

It’s a very delicate art of thinking and deciding. Through trial and error and learning, hopefully that art will be a fluent practice in every day lives.
