Sometimes you gotta really get out of the clouds

Yes, I made the title of this blog post a spin off the previous one.

What I mean is you really gotta look at what is right in front of you.

What do you have to do? What do you have to do first? What are absolutely bare essentials?

Let’s say there are ten different things I have on my to-do list. Ten different things are comprised of things I absolutely want to do and things I absolutely need to do, no matter how long it takes to get whichever one done.

The want-to-do’s are typically the clouds that show you rainbows and stars. They are like little jars of dreams that shines bright on its own. If anything, they may be the driving force behind your every day life.

The need-to-do’s are the down to earth on the ground where you stand. They may be a huge boulder in your path that you must move in order for you to keep going forward. They may be a pair of new sneakers to replace your old ones on your feet so you can keep going forward with more comfort. They may be a jug of water to cool down your dehydrated, heating body at the verge of passing out.

It’s so very lovely to see the clouds far away as you go down your path. It’s entertaining and mesmerizing. You may set your destination to the cloud and make it motivate you to keep going until you reach the clouds.

But before you do that, you have to address the boulder, the new sneakers, and the jug of water. You absolutely have to, MUST, take care of the need-to-do’s for you to do anything else.

Allow courage, objectivity, and wisdom from trusted individuals to decide the best course of action. Let’s be strong. Let’s think long-term. Let’s do the best for ourselves.
